Front-end developer with development background and strong urge to improve customer experience

Hi I'm Bruno Figueiredo a Business IT & Management student at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. During my study I developed an interest for creating (web) applications. Aside from creating (web) applications I also like the aspect of improving business processes, which is much more related to the study I'm currently doing. My hobbies include: creating applications, playing badminton, running and watching anime, movies/series and football.

Aside from these things that keep me busy, I also have a company that focuses on finding (and improving) student housing for Dutch and international students in all cities the Netherlands (The Student Broker). Here I work closely together with another developer in the IT department, where we are responsible for maintaining and improving our website. On the side we (other developer and I) also have our own agency where we create web applications for people (KB Creative).

KB Creative is a company I started with a good friend of mine I met during the first year of my studies at the HvA. Since Koen and I have been working together for some time and share the same love from coding/programming, we decided to start our own agency for creating web applications.

My role

Creating and maintaining our main website.

The Student Broker

Front-end Developer

The Student Broker is a company I started together with 4 other young professionals. Our company strives to find suitable accommodation for every international student in the Netherlands, regardless of their gender, sexuality or nationality. We do this because we want to contribute to a more transparent and fairer real estate market. At The Student Broker I work in the IT department together with our back-end developer.

My role

Creating the front-end of the website.
Maintaining The Student Broker's main website together with back-end developer.
Improving the UX and UI of the website and admin panels.
Implementing analytics tools and making sure they are working correctly.
Developing, testing and deploying new features.
Creating wireframes and mockups for new improved designs based on user data.

Gladwell Academy

Jr. Webmaster

Gladwell Academy trains professionals at the intersection of management, IT and innovation, with a big focus on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). At Gladwell Academy I did my 5 month internship as a Webmaster. During this period I worked closely together with the other Webmaster and learned a lot of new things about UX, User Interfaces, Agile ways of working, SEO, Wordpress, field research, among many other things to do with managing big websites.

Improving the user experience by doing field research.
Analysing trends by using tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar.
Improving and testing performance of all websites.
Improving SEO and researching about what can be done to do so.
